    I have one question: I note that in the photo, all the planting is done in rows. We are planning to start revegetating our property next year and I had assumed that it would be best to follow a “scattered” approach rather than rows. Is the choice to use rows simply for convenience/cost of planting and maintenance, or are there other benefits?

    1. Hi Pam, the rows are done mainly for convenience because they are ripped inside a fence with a tractor. I have seen people use curvy lines, especially if they aren’t confined to the fence. And I’ve also seen people hand plant between the rows. You do find, however, that they don’t look like they are in rows once they grow.
